About The Company
Who we are: Belstra Milling is a family-owned regional independent feed manufacturing company located in the northwest Indiana town of Demotte. Albert "Bud" Belstra established the company in 1954. What we do: Our main business is manufacturing feed for livestock; mostly swine and dairy. During the 1990's, a relationship with Pig Improvement Company (PIC), a swine genetics company, grew such that today, we think of ourselves as a "supplier of genetics". Not only do we represent PIC but we work with producers to help them maximize their operations through knowledge gained on the farms we manage.
About the Role

Description

Belstra Milling offers a summer program for students to learn about the feed manufacturing process while getting real world experience. Our goal is to teach students the various steps entailed in the manufacturing of safe animal feeds, while allowing them to use knowledge learned in the classroom. Working as a team within our company, our hope is that our interns take away not only a general knowledge of the feed industry but also useful contacts and relationships for the future. Please send a cover letter and resume to Adriana Trevizo at adrianatrevizo@belstramilling.com to apply.
