About the Role

Description

The Books from Birth (BfB) opportunity provides special project support to the BfB team, volunteers and Porter-Leath teammates. This support is based out of Porter-Leath’s Prescott office location. Interns are responsible for assisting the Director with special projects to analyze program enrollment information and update and maintain current program records. The position is 32 hours per week. 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • 1 year or less experience of experience 
  • Basic computer skills 
  •  Basic phone etiquette
  • Gmail & Google skills 


Supervisory Responsibilities 


This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.

1. Learn and maintain Books from Birth program operation knowledge 

2. Utilize Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Book Order System 

3. Books from Birth program special project support 

4. Maintain client privacy and confidentiality

? Personable, able to comfortably and pleasantly deal with a variety of people.

? Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position 

? Ability to correctly make decisions involving client issues/ problems including when to escalate the problem to the Program Director.

? Proficient in Gmail and the Google Suite

Physical Demands 


Performs essential job functions in an established office environment under a normal lighting and climate control tolerance. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, touch, handle objects with hands, feel, reach, see, hear, and speak. Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This is a non-smoking workplace environment.
