About the Role

Clearwater Analytics' Managed Services team runs the day-to-day middle- and back-office operations — trade operations, NAV accounting, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting, for hedge funds and asset managers operating on the Enfusion platform. MS teams work inside a SOC 1 Type II control environment across break analysis & resolution, daily NAV production, trade affirmation using industry-standard platforms such as CTM, NYFIX, Traiana, and DTCC ALERT. As an intern on this team, you'll get first-hand exposure to how a fund's operations actually run behind the scenes.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconciliation Support: assist in matching internal transaction records against custodian, broker, and bank statements, and help log discrepancies for the team to investigate.
  • Data Entry & Validation: help record investor inflows, redemptions, corporate actions, and trade bookings accurately into the core portfolio accounting system (Enfusion).
  • Trade Support: observe and support daily trade affirmation workflows across platforms including CTM, NYFIX, and Traiana.
  • NAV & Reporting: shadow the daily NAV process & monthly trial balance reconciliation and help prepare operational reports.
  • Records and reports the status of daily and monthly operational delivery.

WHAT YOU'LL GAIN

  • Direct, hands-on exposure to how a real fund's middle and back office runs on a daily market cycle.
  • Training on Enfusion and industry-standard platforms — CTM, NYFIX, Traiana, DTCC ALERT, and EMIR reporting tools.
  • Mentorship from experienced fund operations professionals across reconciliation, NAV accounting, and trade lifecycle management.
  • A front-row seat to how a SOC 1 Type II controlled operating environment is run in practice.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Accounting, Business Management, or a related quantitative field.
  • Certifications (Bonus): Progress toward CFA Level I, NISM, or another relevant local market certification is a plus, though not required.

Hard Skills

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills — comfortable with VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, and handling large data sets without errors.
  • Basic understanding of financial statements, general ledger accounting, and how corporate actions (e.g., stock splits, dividends) affect fund valuations.
  • Asset Classes: Intermediate understanding of fixed income and equity investments and a basic knowledge of alternative security types
  • Strong accounting and/or finance skills.
  • Familiarity with core operational concepts — how NAV is calculated daily, and the trade settlement lifecycle (e.g., clearing, custodian communication, T+1 settlement).

Soft Skills

  • Hyper-attention to detail — accuracy matters; a single misplaced decimal or swapped account number can cause real compliance and financial issues.
  • Clear written and verbal communication for presenting findings and handling internal or client queries.
  • Process orientation — able to follow structured SOPs precisely while spotting opportunities to improve them.
  • Time management under pressure — comfortable working to firm daily market cut-off times.
  • A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude toward new financial software and workflows.
