Welcome to Avenues São Paulo! Since our doors opened in August 2018, we've been on a mission to provide a truly transformative educational experience. ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Our Internship Program is a structured 2-year journey designed to give future educators hands-on classroom experience, high-impact mentorship, and continuous professional growth.

We are looking for passionate, future-focused educators to join our vibrant learning environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Learn and Grow as an Educator

• Collaborate closely with teachers and grade-level teams in all aspects of classroom life.
• Participate in monthly professional development sessions on primary education best practices.
• Reflect on classroom practice and connect experience with educational theory alongside peer interns.
• Receive weekly 1-on-1 mentorship and continuous feedback from an experienced Avenues teacher.

Support Teaching and Learning

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging, creative lessons in an English immersion setting.
• Help facilitate Morning Clubs and support daily classroom operations and material prep.
• Supervise students during recess and lunch, leading select activities as appropriate.
• Document student learning through photos, displays, and pedagogical portfolios.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Compensation & Benefits: Competitive monthly stipend, meal voucher, transportation allowance, health and dental insurance, life insurance, daily breakfast and lunch on campus, and a TotalPass membership.
• Paid school breaks (~4 weeks annually).

ABOUT YOU

• Currently enrolled in a degree program (Pedagogia or Licenciatura) at a Brazilian university.
• Advanced/Fluent English language skills (essential for working in an immersion environment).
• Strongly motivated to master early childhood and elementary teaching practices in an immersion setting.
• Deeply committed to learning and developing the craft of teaching.
• Possesses excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Available to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m (with a 1-hour lunch break).
