About the team you are joining

Based in Madrid and under the mentorship of the Assistant Manager and Senior Manager for Standardization Participation, the Intern for IATA Standardization Participation will play a crucial role in advancing the Agency Participation agenda.

The Participation Team consists of 31 team members from 10 different nationalities (75% Female and 25% Male) located in Madrid, Beijing, and Singapore. The Team manages, the IATA Agency Program, a global program designed to facilitate the secure distribution of airline tickets and airwaybills through a network of accredited locations. We proudly serve around 59,000 Travel Agents and 20,000 Cargo Agents worldwide.

The Agency Program is governed by a set of established resolutions, rules and procedures adopted by the Conference to uphold industry standards and practices.

What your day would be like

Learn from and collaborate with ONE Agency Participation team across all locations to collect, analyze and execute all changes to departmental SOPs on the IATA Business Process Tool;

Assist the team with backlog of AMS (Agency Management System) development and enhancements, as well as complaints analysis;

Learn and participate in the Agency Management System development and enhancements;

Support the team with the drafting of communications and updates regarding topics such as ISO9001 Certification, open audit items, Business Continuity Plan, operational logs, etc.;

Participate in departmental projects and initiatives, and perform analytical work;

Support the team with administrative and reporting tasks as required.


We would love to hear from you if you have 

A recently obtained (less than 12 months) University/Master's degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field;

Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken);

Ability to work in a multicultural team;

Positive mindset and willing to learn and contribute;

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;

Good IT skills including Microsoft Office; CRM knowledge (Salesforce) and use of other applications such as SAP will be an asset.
