As an HSE Intern here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental practices within the Industrial Automation sector. This internship will allow you to contribute to maintaining and improving workplace safety standards while developing your professional skills in a dynamic and innovative environment.
You will report directly to our designated manager, and you’ll work out of our Columbus, OH location on an On-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the safety culture and compliance of our operations by supporting HSE initiatives, assisting in risk assessments, and promoting safe work practices that protect employees and the environment.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety, and Environmental programs within the Industrial Automation team.
- Assist in conducting safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to promote safety awareness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Computer Science, or another relevant program
- Interest in Health, Safety, and Environmental practices within industrial settings with foundational knowledge in safety protocols and risk management.
- Must graduate December 2027 or later
- Must continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship
- Validated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.
WE VALUE
- Pursuing a bachelor's, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Previous internship or project experience in HSE or industrial safety sectors is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in identifying and mitigating risks
- Motivation to learn and grow within a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Experience and skill with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and/or document control systems.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
