Who you are:

The intern’s primary responsibility is to provide support for the recruitment and marketing objectives of the Frederick Douglass-Daniel O’Connell Global Programs (FDDO) and the Scan Design Environmental Sustainability Internship (SCAN). The intern(s) will work closely with the Fellowships Manager to recruit new students to the Fellowships and Scholars program through varying mediums.

What You’ll Do:

Support CIEE staff in recruitment efforts for Fellowship programs, which can include, but are not limited to:

  • Support call campaign to applicants.
  • Create content for social media.
  • Manage fellowship email accounts.
  • Outreach to student fraternities & sororities.
  • Assist Fellowships team in application review.
  • Outreach to Scholars Grant recipients.
  • Support Pre-Departure Advising to Fellows and Scholars.
  • Provide input on marketing strategies and materials.
  • Support of alumni programming.
  • Assist in Scholars Institutional Matching outreach other duties as assigned.
 

What you'll bring:

  • Participation on a Frederick Douglass-Daniel O’Connell Global Internship Program or Scan Design Environmental Sustainability Program in Summer 2026.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent judgement and intercultural competence.
  • High energy and excitement about intercultural exchange and CIEE.
