About the Role

Securitas Canada Limited is one of Canada's largest providers of security services and a leader within our industry. Over 8,000 employees provide security services to thousands of public and private customers, large and small, across all sectors and verticals. Securitas is the second largest provider of security services globally. We have business operations in 45 markets and capabilities spanning from guarding to tech-enables security. We provide Integrated Guarding, Remote Guarding, Mobile Guarding, Onsite Guarding, Investigative Services and Technology Services.

We are seeking two coop students for our Talent Acquisition Team that requires a placement to meet their graduation requirements. These roles would report into the Talent Acquisition Manager, GTSO and Area Human Resources Manager, GTSO.

Position Overview:

Position: Talent Acquisition COOP Student

Location: North York, ON

Start Date: Fall 2026

This role will require the student to be in office during their placement. This is not a hybrid role.

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The functions listed describe the business purpose of this job. Specific duties or tasks may vary and be documented separately. The employee might not be required to perform all the functions listed. Additional duties may be assigned, and functions may be modified, according to business necessity.
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition Team with reference checks, new hire packages, document verification and file management.
  • Attend hiring events with a member or members of the Talent Acquisition Team to interview and screen potential candidates for employment opportunities at Securitas Canada Ltd.
  • Assist HR Assistant with documentation and new hire packages.
  • Act as an assistant to the TA Specialists and assist with interview coordination with candidates.
  • Assist with scheduling candidates for the Securitas Screening Program.
  • Assist with uniforms issuance and issue Union information including benefits information to new hires.
  • Issue and participate in collecting employee surveys for new hires. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be enrolled in a College Human Resources Program where a coop placement is a part of their graduation requirement.
  • Ability to multitask and be organized.
  • Be able to use Microsoft Suite specifically Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication and written skills.
  • Ability to follow procedure and be detail oriented.
  • Be willing to undergo a criminal record check as part of the hiring process.
  • Access to your own vehicle is required.
  • Understand that we operate in a high recruitment volume environment.
