About the Role

Alternative Power Generation is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Aide to support our team in the renewable and distributed energy industry. This part-time internship provides hands-on experience working alongside industry professionals on projects related to power generation, energy systems, and sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a degree in engineering, energy management, environmental science, business, or a related field and is eager to develop technical, analytical, and professional skills in a dynamic work environment. This position will assist with research, data analysis, project coordination, and administrative support while gaining valuable exposure to real-world energy solutions and emerging technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in building a career in the energy sector and contributing to innovative power generation projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engineering Calculations.
  • Energy Modeling.
  • Onsite Testing and Data Collection.
  • Trend Analysis.
  • BAS Controls Design Development.
  • Other Associated Engineering or Administrative Tasks.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Current Covid and Flu Vaccination may be required in order to be considered for the position due to client contract requirements.
