Pay: $20.00 Per Hour 

Dates: June 7, 2027 - August 13, 2027 

Schedule: In-Office, Monday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM / 30-minute lunch every day 

Location: Chicago, IL

Overview: 

In this 10-week specialized program, you will be working in our Design division. You will assist the Design & Merchandising teams and will be exposed to the fundamentals of retail and wholesale businesses.

Tech Design Intern Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assisting the design team in creating designs that fit into seasonal concepts and specific brand visions
  • Collaborate with merchants to build assortments and react to fashion trends
  • Provides technical details to overseas vendors for managing sample development
  • Produces sketches and may make seasonal presentations of proposed designs
  • Create and manage tech packs through our PLM software and communicate with/ overseas vendors on sample development

Project

Interns will be assigned a group project and a mentor to help provide coaching & support throughout the project. The project will be presented in the final week to various leaders within the organization. The goal is to research and present a solution or recommendation based on white space within the company. This will give interns an opportunity to work with cross-functional departments and individuals across our multiple locations to put together a solution to create a positive change.

Qualifications:

  • Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Marketing/Business Majors a plus
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Must be available to work on-site, Monday through Friday
  • Able to commit to the full duration of the internship program (10 weeks)
  • Thrives in collaborative settings and understands the value of cross-functional alignment
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward learning and problem-solving
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
  • Looking to gain hands-on experience
