About the Role

OPERATIONS SUPPORT INTERN - SUMMER 2027

About Carolina Handling

We are a total automated warehouse solutions provider. We specialize in providing turnkey solutions for our customer's needs in warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturers and any industry partner needing warehouse solutions. Our products and solutions allow our customers to move material faster and more efficiently by implementing automation equipment and technologies. We are also the largest certified Raymond dealer in the southeast for material handling equipment sales and service housed under the Toyota umbrella of North America (TINA).

Program Objective

The program allows students to gain corporate world experience. Each intern will be assigned a department-level project for the summer focused on improving a specific process within their department. The ten week program provides networking opportunities, roundtables, and business acumen training. Projects will be scoped as a tangible task or process the intern can reasonably complete in approximately 8-10 weeks. The final project details will be provided on the first day of the internship!

Job Details

Evaluate and improve the onboarding and training process for new Business Development Managers (BDM) supporting Sales Support, Rental Support and Fleet Support. The intern will map how BDMs, Coordinators, Managers, and Distribution teams interact, identify gaps or bottlenecks, and document recommendations to improve onboarding, communication, and training workflows.
