Pay: $20.00 Per Hour 

Dates: June 7, 2027 - August 13, 2027 

Schedule: In-Office, Monday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM / 30-minute lunch every day

Overview: 

In this 10-week specialized program, you will engage in software engineering projects across all Randa offices and associated companies. This program provides broad exposure to IT systems and software development across multiple technology disciplines, emphasizing scalable architecture, system integration, and application performance.

You will gain hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that support business operations. The role requires a strong understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and deployment strategies. You will also collaborate with IT SMEs to enhance existing systems and build new applications, ensuring that software quality, maintainability, and performance are prioritized throughout development and support processes.

Software Engineer Intern Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications and systems to support business operations across various departments. 
  • Identify and define system security requirements.
  • Gather and define technical requirements for new software features and system enhancements. 
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Configure, test, and debug software components and integrations, resolving issues to ensure optimal performance. 
  • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
  • Monitor application performance and system logs to identify and resolve issues proactively. 
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement.
  • Document technical findings, development outcomes, and recommendations for future improvements and optimizations.

Project

Interns will be assigned a group project and a mentor to help provide coaching & support throughout the project. The project will be presented in the final week to various leaders within the organization. The goal is to research and present a solution or recommendation based on white space within the company. This will give interns an opportunity to work with cross-functional departments and individuals across our multiple locations to put together a solution to create a positive change.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Must be available to work on-site, Monday through Friday
  • Able to commit to the full duration of the internship program (10-weeks)
  • Thrives in collaborative settings and understands the value of cross-functional alignment
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward learning and problem-solving
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
  • Looking to gain hands-on experience
