Our Vancouver office is seeking undergraduate students to join the team as a 3-month co-op hire in Winter 2027 as a part of our Global Mobility Services Tax team. 


What you will do

  • Become part of a tax engagement team in meeting the tax compliance needs of clients
  • Gather, organize, and analyze client tax information, ensuring its accuracy and completeness
  • Review tax documents to request necessary information and draft client communications
  • Assist in analysis and reconciliation of employee compensation data as well as various payroll-related tasks
  • Assist with the preparation of Canadian and US personal tax returns for international assignees
  • Communicate with tax authorities on notices and draft responses with supporting documents
  • Conduct preliminary research on tax/payroll regulations and policies
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline workflow and meet tax deadlines

What you bring to the role

  • You are working towards or have completed a post-secondary undergrad with a major or focus in Accounting/Tax, Business, Mathematics or a related field.
  • You are highly motivated and enthusiastic to take on a variety of challenges and opportunities.
  • Proven track record of successfully dealing with competing priorities and deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills allowing effective interaction with our clients and team.
  • Enthusiastic with a desire to learn and taking ownership for assigned tasks
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Excel experience is required.
  • Consistent attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills, enabling efficient handling of high volume of files.
  • Familiarity with AIenabled tools or analytics platforms is considered an asset, along with comfort in leveraging AI to enhance efficiency, generate insights, or support problemsolving, and a demonstrated interest in how these technologies can be applied in professional settings  

 

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information 

 

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $49,000 - $60,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
