About the Role

Job Description Summary

GE Vernova, in collaboration with the Kuwait Fund, is offering a structured nine-month
engineering internship program designed to provide recent engineering graduates with
practical exposure to the power and energy industry.
The program combines technical learning, hands-on engineering experience, and exposure
to GE Vernova’s operations and engineering practices. Selected trainees will spend the first
six months with GE Vernova, based in one of our facilities in the region, followed by three
months at GEV KTC.
Throughout the program, trainees will work alongside experienced engineering teams and
gain exposure to engineering activities, technical projects, power generation technologies,
operational practices, and professional working environments. The program is intended to
develop both the technical and professional capabilities required for a successful
engineering career.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


* Participate in a structured six-month internship and training assignment at one of GE Vernova’s facilities, followed by a three-month assignment at GEV KTC in Kuwait.

* Support engineering teams in technical activities and projects related to power generation, mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, processes, and other relevant engineering disciplines.

* Gain practical exposure to GE Vernova technologies, engineering processes, and industry practices.

* Participate in technical training, workshops, site activities, and practical learning assignments as applicable.

* Work closely with engineers and other cross-functional teams to understand engineering challenges and contribute to problem-solving activities.

* Apply engineering fundamentals and academic knowledge to practical assignments and real-world applications.

* Support assigned projects focused on engineering systems, tooling, processes, data analysis, or operational improvement.

* Present findings, progress, and recommendations throughout the program and as part of the final program evaluation.

* Demonstrate commitment to GE Vernova’s Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and maintain safe working practices throughout all assignments.

* Actively participate in the learning program, seek feedback, and demonstrate continuous development throughout the nine-month training period.


Qualification Requirements


* Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.

* Strong interest in the power and energy industry and willingness to develop technical knowledge in power generation technologies and engineering systems.

* Ability and willingness to participate in the full nine-month program, including six months in one of our facilities in the region and three months in Kuwait.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

* Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.

* Willingness to learn and apply GE Vernova EHS, quality, and engineering practices.
