About the position

You will support the Customer Engineering team at an automotive manufacturer's R&D center on site. Your tasks will include maintaining mechanical systems, regularly integration and release of components into different carlines and PEP-PDM systems of Customer. You will gain valuable insights into the development of information and communication technology.

Your team

You will be part of BMW's Customer Account Management team, which is responsible for all development projects in the areas of infotainment, telematics, and loudspeakers.

Your task

  • CAx-data handling between HARMAN and Customer (OpenDXM / Cloud-system)
  • Integration of CA-Data into Customer ecosystem (CAD / PDM)
    • Considering data quality guidelines, standards and specific requirements
  • Creation of 3D models, release drawings and measurement plans
    • across all sample phases and final production release
  • Preparation of Customer milestone approval documents
    • release management maintenance in the relevant PDM-System
  • Mechanical design interface to relevant departments: development, design, quality

What you bring

  • Student of mechanical / mechatronic / automotive engineering and related fields
  • High collaboration and communication skills as well as confident appearance
  • Structured working method and strong problem-solving skills
  • experience with CAD-system is highly appreciated
  • Working hours 16 to 20 hours/week, full-time during semester breaks possible
