As a Remote Delivery Engineering Working Student, you'll be an integral part of our NOKIA Regional Delivery Engineering team, working on challenging projects that will allow you to apply your technical skills and gain valuable industry experience. Our team is a primary execution hub for engineering services, delivering design, integration, and acceptance services across the region. We focus on standardization and automation to optimize our processes and provide cost-effective solutions to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Support the RDE ON engineering team in network design and modeling using the WaveSuite Planner tool.
- Assist in creating and maintaining technical design documentation for DWDM network deployments.
- Support validation and verification activities using AI-enabled tools, executing sessions and analyzing findings.
- Assist with customer network upgrade activities, including software loading and basic node health analysis.
- Support network integration for new customer networks, involving configuration verification and testing.
- Participate in dry-run activities to identify potential implementation issues before production deployment.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to learn about optical networking technologies and processes.
- Maintain project-related technical data, reports, and documentation to ensure quality and compliance.
Qualifications
Must-have:
• Active student status (for at least one year)
• Good English, both spoken and written
• Technology: knowledge of DWDM technology and optical networking principles.
• Soft skills: team player, good communicative skills, eagerness to learn.
Nice-to-have:
• Student status of telecommunications, physics, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and operating DWDM networks.
• Experience working with Nokia network equipment
• Basic knowledge of Python and automation frameworks (RobotFramework, Selenium)
