About the Role

Rate of Pay:  $20.00/hour, Full-time schedule.

Schedule: various work shifts; Monday – Saturday, 7:45 AM – 6:15 PM, up to 37.50 hours per week.

Timeframe: 10 weeks (June 7 - August 13)


PRIMARY PURPOSE

Provide exceptional client service by accurately processing routine financial transactions while delivering a personalized banking experience. Maintain reports, records, and files with accuracy and efficiency, promote Bank products and services through meaningful client interactions, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality to ensure client satisfaction and strengthen the Bank's reputation

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process financial transactions for banking clients with an emphasis on personalized quality service and in accordance with all Bank policies and procedures.
    • Transactions typically include deposits; check cashing, journal transfers, money orders, official checks, sale & redemption of U.S. Savings Bonds, withdrawals, loan payments, loan disbursements, miscellaneous receipts & disbursements, cash advances, provide access to safe deposit boxes, and proficient on use of cash recycler. 
  • Ensure minimum to zero teller differences and controllable losses. Escalating matters requiring further attention immediately.
  • Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies when assisting clients in obtaining any account information. 
  • Refer various Bank products and services to clients as needs are uncovered.
  • When needed, assist with filing, money counting, teller cash proof, answering phones, processing mail transactions and/or correspondence, reconciliation of ATM, as well as assisting in coin machine operations and proof, and completing daily audit of miscellaneous items. 
  • Available to travel within the branch network, as needed, to support branch operations. Travel time and mileage are compensated. 
  • Daily use of Teller Cash Recycler (TCR) to include maintenance as needed and proof as designated. 
  • Reconcile coin machine, ability to change coin bags, maintain cleanliness to ensure proper operation of equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned by Bank Management.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Working conditions are those of an “open” office environment, which can require the ability to manage some stress such as noise level from customers, employees, and office equipment, etc. Workflow cannot be completely controlled, and customer demand will create extended periods of standing and/or sitting. Use of hands, fingers, arms, and wrists: for using computer, handling money, and answering phones. Ability to hear and speak clearly: in order to give and receive information to individual customers. Ability to bend and lift coin boxes or bags, up to approximately 30lbs. Ability to operate a motor vehicle for travel within branch network: if required.
