About the Role

Description

Depatie Fluid Power is looking for a motivated Supply Chain Intern who is eager to learn, take initiative, and gain real-world experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment.

This internship provides the opportunity to work across multiple areas of our Supply Chain organization while contributing to projects that directly impact our customers and business operations.

You do not need to be an expert in fluid power or our products to be successful in this role. Product and industry knowledge can be learned. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, puts in the effort, adapts to technology, communicates well, and takes ownership of their work.

Requirements

What you will do

  • Cross-train and gain exposure across multiple areas of our Supply Chain organization, including Procurement, Distribution, Operations, and Inside Sales.
  • Support day-to-day Supply Chain activities while learning how different departments work together to serve our customers.
  • Assist with internal projects focused on improving order fulfillment, inventory flow, processes, and overall customer service.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and improve the customer experience.
  • Work with team members across departments to gather information, solve problems, and support project objectives.
  • Utilize business systems and technology to complete tasks, research information, and support Supply Chain activities.
  • Communicate professionally with internal teams and, when applicable, customers and suppliers.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and projects based on business needs.

What you will accomplish

Through this internship, you will

  • Develop practical experience across multiple Supply Chain functions.
  • Gain a better understanding of procurement, distribution, operations, order fulfillment, and inside sales.
  • Apply concepts learned in the classroom to real-world business situations.
  • Contribute to projects that can improve processes and the customer experience.
  • Build experience working with business systems, technology, data, and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop professional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Gain a broader understanding of how Supply Chain supports a manufacturing and distribution business.

How you will achieve this

You will work alongside experienced team members who will provide training, guidance, and exposure to different areas of the business. We will teach you our products, processes, and industry. Your role is to bring curiosity, initiative, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to putting in the work. We are looking for someone who asks questions, adapts to new technology, takes feedback, and looks for ways to contribute rather than waiting to be told what to do.

What we are looking for

  •  Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or related college degree program.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; English required.
  • Professional, personable, and collaborative attitude.
  • Willingness to learn new products, systems, processes, and technologies.
  • Strong initiative and a willingness to take ownership of assignments.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new information quickly.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working with computers and learning new business systems.
  • Previous Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, Customer Service, or Sales experience is a plus, but not required.

Why Join Depatie?

This is more than an internship where you will simply observe how a Supply Chain department operates. You will have the opportunity to participate in meaningful projects, work alongside multiple teams, and see how decisions made in Procurement, Distribution, Operations, and Inside Sales ultimately impact our customers. If you are looking for an internship where you can build practical business experience, learn how a manufacturing and distribution organization operates, and make a meaningful contribution, we would like to hear from you. Apply the skills and knowledge from college experience into a real-world business setting. Serve as a vital team member within the Supply Chain function. Perform a variety of day-to-day tasks and challenging projects related to the supply chain function.
