About the Role

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Support engineers in developing protection and control, substation, and industrial electrical designs, including preparation of drawings, bills of materials, and project documentation.

2. Learn and apply drafting standards using AutoCAD and MicroStation under the guidance of experienced designers and engineers.

3.Participate in engineering design reviews and technical discussions.
4. Complete assigned work within agreed upon schedule and budget to a high level of quality.
5. Construct relay equipment racks for testing purposes on projects and assist with the testing.
6. Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
7. Understand. Create. Simplify.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Current student pursing a degree in EETor relevant discipline
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is a plus but not required.

Exposure to electrical power systems, protection and control, substations, industrial controls, or related electrical equipment is a plus but not required.
