Strategy & Business Development Intern

INFICON is a leading provider of innovative instrumentation, critical sensor technologies, and Smart Manufacturing/Industry 4.0 software solutions that enhance productivity and quality of tools, processes, and complete factories. These analysis, measurement and control products are essential for gas leak detection in air conditioning/refrigeration and automotive manufacturing. They are vital to equipment manufacturers and end-users in the complex fabrication of semiconductors and thin film coatings for optics, flat panel displays, solar cells and industrial vacuum coating applications. Other users of our vacuum-based processes include the life sciences, research, aerospace, packaging, heat treatment, laser cutting and many other industrial processes. We also leverage our expertise in vacuum technology to provide unique, toxic chemical analysis products for emergency response, security, and environmental health and safety.

For our Vacuum Control Products Division, we are looking for a passionate Strategy and Business Development Intern based in Balzers, Liechtenstein to work closely with our of Division President and VP Product Management & Marketing in one or various highly strategic projects around new market entry strategies, strategic portfolio management, and other business development strategies. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategy formulation and execution within a dynamic corporate environment.

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
• Formulate organic and inorganic growth strategies to enter new markets
• Analyze product portfolio and its strategic alignment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and data
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for new business ideas and strategies
• Work closely with the senior leadership
• Work in highly strategic and confidential strategic projects

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics or similar technical degree
• Currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and make recommendations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is a MUST
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Previous experience in strategy consulting, business development, or a similar role is a plus
• English proficiency, German language skills is a plus
