POSITION TITLE

Manufacturing Engineering Mayflower Plant Intern – Summer 2027

POSITION OVERVIEW

This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting real business priorities within manufacturing operations. The intern will contribute to meaningful projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop skills aligned to professional growth and business impact. This role is designed to provide practical experience in a fast-paced environment while building foundational capabilities in problem solving, communication, and teamwork.

This internship is a full-time (40 hours/week), paid position that is 11–12 weeks in length during the summer of 2027, located at our Salisbury, MA location.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support day-to-day activities and key projects within the Operations and Process Improvement teams.
• Conduct research, analysis, or data review to support business decisions
• Assist in developing reports, presentations, or process documentation
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders across the organization
• Identify opportunities for process improvement or efficiency gains
• Present project findings, recommendations, or results

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

• Candidates with or working toward a BS in engineering, business, or manufacturing related field.
• Strong user of Microsoft Office suite of products, with advanced Excel skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS – PREFERRED

• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing concepts or Six Sigma methodologies
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualization tools
• Prior internship, project, or relevant experience

Pay Transparency:

Compensation: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour, based on degree program and academic standing.

In accordance with Massachusetts pay transparency requirements, the anticipated hourly pay range for this internship is $23.00 to $29.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate's degree program and academic year. Current intern rates range from $23.00 per hour for first-year BA/BBA students to $29.00 per hour for fourth-year BE/BS students.

Eligible interns will also receive a $3,000 grossed-up lump-sum bonus, which is considered taxable income and subject to applicable withholdings.
