THE POSITION

Hoosier Racing Tire in Plymouth, IN, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our team. The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will have the opportunity to work alongside our Plant Engineering and Maintenance teams on a variety of hands-on projects supporting race tire manufacturing. The position will gain firsthand experience with the equipment, processes, and operations that support production while assisting with projects and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Take ownership of assigned projects from development through completion and final evaluation.
• Support Plant Engineering and Maintenance with additional projects and day-to-day initiatives as needed.
• Gain firsthand experience with the operations of a large-scale manufacturing facility.
• Build an understanding of the roles, processes, equipment, and procedures that support efficient production.
• Develop practical knowledge of the racing tire manufacturing process.
• Contribute fresh ideas and identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall operations.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

• Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full-time in Fall 2027.
• Be majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at the time of application).
• Must be able to commute to Plymouth, IN.
• Hoosier will not pay for housing expenses for this opportunity.
