We are looking for a part-time Supply Chain Intern. This is a great opportunity if you are a student studying supply chain or logistics to get real-world experience with a growing company (while getting paid!). Hours can be flexible, up to 29 hours per week.

Job Summary:                                                                                          

The Supply Chain Intern will be assisting the Supply Chain Manager in the administration of the Supply Chain function of DiscGenics. This is a great opportunity to learn the entire supply chain process of a growing company as DiscGenics ramps up for clinical trials into commercialization. 

This role interacts with all levels of the organization in a collaborative and positive way with colleagues to facilitate department and organizational initiatives for cultural cohesion aligned to the DiscGenics Values. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Processing receipts of goods and materials: receiving document review, inspection for damage, signing for deliveries, entering information, etc.
• Gathering or requesting certification of other shipping documents.
• Transferring or handing goods and materials.
• Filling out information on controlled documents and coordinating with Quality Control (QC) for any sampling of Raw Materials.
• Performing stock/cycle counts of safety stock (SS) items.
• Manual data entry into ERP system, Excel tables, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: 

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write effectively.
• General understanding of Excel tables and recording information on computers.
• Adheres to and leads with the Company Values of Integrity, Innovation, Accuracy, Teamwork and Stewardship. 
• Regular and predictable attendance. 
• Ability to report to work responsive, free from sedatives, and in a non-sedative state. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Enrollment in an accredited degree program in Supply Chain or Logistics.
• Certifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Microsoft Excel.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in warehousing, supply chain, logistics, or other related fields.
• Experience in any regulated industries domestically or globally.

Working Conditions: 

Position requires qualified individuals to see, hear and speak (verbally and audibly). Required to ascend and descend stairs; sit, stand, lift, bend, stoop, crawl and kneel. The employee must also use hands to finger, handle or feel. Occasionally reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing are required. May be asked to drive or travel by car, air, or other transportation for business purposes.    

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 

Must be able to function effectively with noise in a lab environment. Natural and regular stressors occur on the job.
