Machine Design and Controls Engineering Co-op

We are looking for a highly motivated Engineering student to join our Machine Design Team as a Machine design or Controls Engineering Co-op in Central Wisconsin from January to August OR May to December.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Controls Engineer Co-op: You will assist with electrical panel and machine wiring, interpret schematics, develop Bills of Material, and support parts ordering. You will also work alongside technicians and engineers to gain experience with troubleshooting and programming while contributing to design development, project quoting, and planning activities throughout the full project lifecycle.

Machine Design Co-op: You will gain experience with CAD design, engineering analysis, manufacturing processes, and process development while seeing your work come to life in production. Along the way, you’ll collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams while building valuable technical and problem-solving skills.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Enrollment in a related bachelor’s degree program (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, Robotics, other similar engineering fields)

• On track to graduate in the next 3 semesters or less 

• Ability to collaborate with peers and leaders while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with curiosity to learn and improve processes.
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft programs
• Classwork with exposure to: Electrical Design, Automation and controls programing, Electrical Power

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Greenheck Group takes pride in providing competitive pay. The pay range for this position is $22.00/hour - $28.00/hour, based on position and academic year.

In addition to competitive pay, co-ops and interns receive paid time off for company-observed holidays and are eligible for additional financial support, which may include company-provided housing, a housing allowance, or a sign-on bonus, depending on location, assignment, and length of term.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer and phone. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The person is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Occasional mobility required to attend in-person meetings and complete various office tasks.
