The Perpetual team is proud to offer two Women in Asset Management Scholarships for our 2027 intake, designed to foster the next generation of female investment professionals.

Commencing in February 2027 for its second year, this initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to diversity, education, and industry development.

Program overview:

We are looking for two talented female identifying students to each undertake a rewarding internship opportunity in Perpetual’s Equities and Credit & Fixed Income Investment teams (one scholarship position per team). The internships commence in the last week of February 2027 and conclude in June 2027.

This hands-on experience offers a unique opportunity to apply university learnings in a real-world, first-class asset management environment.

Scholarship offering:

• Two 4-month, one to two day per week paid internship opportunities in Perpetual’s Equities or Credit and Fixed Income Investment teams.
• A $3000 prize to support your academic journey, paid at completion of each internship.
• A dedicated mentor in the applicable Perpetual investment team.
• Opportunities to build professional networks across the industry.
• Insight into career pathways in asset management.

Please note: This scholarship does not guarantee a permanent or ongoing role post-placement.

Eligibility criteria:

We’re seeking applicants with a keen, genuine interest in developing a career in asset management. Criteria includes:

• Applicants in their second year of university study or later, in the following disciplines:
  • Commerce;
  • Finance;
  • Law;
  • Science;
  • Technology;
  • Engineering;
  • Marketing;
  • Communications;
  • Psychology; and
  • Arts.
• The internship requires in-person attendance at our office in Sydney’s CBD.
• Applicants must have the right to work and study in Australia during the internship period.
• Applicants with strong communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build purposeful professional relationships.
