About the Role

This is a remote position.

Role Overview

We are looking for interns who have a basic understanding of accounting and Excel and are interested in working on accounting data, data cleaning, and accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Clean and organize accounting data received from clients.
  •  Identify and correct duplicate, incomplete, or incorrectly formatted data.
  • Standardize customer, vendor, item, ledger, and transaction data.
  • Review and verify data before importing it into accounting software.
  •  Perform basic Excel tasks such as sorting, filtering, formatting, removing duplicates, and using basic formulas.
  • Assist in data migration and data entry activities.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency of financial data.
  •  Assist the team with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping-related tasks.
  • Follow defined processes and maintain proper documentation of the work completed.
Duration: 2-3 Months


Requirements

Required Skills
  •  Basic knowledge of Accounting and Bookkeeping.
  •  Good working knowledge of MS Excel, particularly data sorting, filtering, formatting, and data cleaning.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in data.
  • Basic understanding of accounting terminology such as ledgers, customers, vendors, invoices, payments, and expenses.
  •  Willingness to learn accounting software and new processes.
  
Preferred / Added Advantage
  • Knowledge of Zoho Books or any other accounting software.
  •  Basic knowledge of Tally.
  •  Prior experience with accounting data migration or data cleaning.

  •  B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) / equivalent students or recent graduates.
  •  Freshers with a strong interest in accounting and data management are welcome.
