As an Equity Research Intern, you'll gain hands-on exposure to company analysis, financial modelling, and equity market research while working alongside experienced research professionals. What You Do

Your responsibilities will include:

• Company Research: conduct research and analysis on listed companies, evaluating business performance, financial results, competitive positioning, and growth prospects
• Industry Analysis: monitor industry developments, market trends, and economic factors that impact sectors and investment opportunities
• Financial Modelling: assist in building, maintaining, and updating financial models to support company valuations and investment recommendations
• Market Intelligence: gather and analyse information from company announcements, earnings releases, industry reports, and market developments
• Investment Research Support: contribute to the preparation of research reports, presentations, investment notes, and market commentaries
• Fundamental & Technical Analysis: support research initiatives through both fundamental company analysis and market trend assessment
• External Engagement: attend investor meetings, earnings briefings, industry conferences, and other market events to gain firsthand insights into companies and sectors
• Stakeholder Collaboration: support the delivery of research insights to Global Markets, Wealth Management, Private Banking, Securities, and other internal stakeholders
• Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on thematic research projects, sector studies, and other research initiatives as assigned

Who You Work With

Global Markets Research provides independent equity research and investment insights to support clients and business stakeholders across OCBC. You'll work alongside experienced research analysts who cover companies and sectors across various industries, delivering actionable investment ideas and market intelligence. Through this role, you'll gain valuable exposure to Equity Research, Wealth Management, Private Banking, Securities, and the broader Global Markets business.

Who You Are

• Open to learning and feedback
• Strong interest in financial markets, investing, and equity research
• Curious, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Familiarity with financial statements and financial analysis
• Background in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Good quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written, reading, and verbal communication skills in English
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
• Proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Familiarity with Bloomberg and programming skills would be advantageous
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree
• Available to commit to a minimum full-time internship period of 6 months
