About the Internship

Get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to create an exceptional experience for thousands of attendees at NAB Show, one of the largest and most influential events for the media, entertainment and technology industries.

As an Attendee Services Intern, you’ll work closely with the Manager, Attendee Services, to support projects that enhance the attendee journey, from registration and pre-show communications to on-site assistance and event logistics. You’ll interact with attendees representing organizations across the media and technology landscape while gaining hands-on experience in customer service and large-scale event operations.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in event management, customer experience, hospitality or the media and entertainment industry.

The Experience You’ll Gain

This internship offers hands-on experience in attendee services, customer experience, event operations and large-scale event planning. You’ll collaborate with experienced event professionals, support customers from a wide range of organizations and learn how thoughtful planning and service come together to create an exceptional attendee experience.

Potential onsite travel to NAB Show, to be determined based on event needs.

Key Responsibilities: 

Attendee Support & Customer Service

  • Provide professional, timely support to attendees with questions related to registration, ticketing, event logistics and general show information.
  • Answer the Attendee Services phone line and manage inquiries through Zendesk before and during the event.
  • Coordinate with NAB’s registration partner as needed to help attendees resolve registration-related questions.
  • Keep attendees informed and provide clear, accurate information throughout their customer journey.

Attendee Communications & Resources

  • Help create and distribute FAQs, guides and other informational resources for attendees.
  • Review and test attendee registration pages and website content, providing feedback and editorial support.
  • Assist with the development of the pre-show staff guide and other customer service resources.
  • Support preparation of training materials and presentations for on-site temporary staff.

Event Preparation & Logistics

  • Coordinate supply orders for registration and event materials, including badge stock, ribbons, staff shirts and staff badges.
  • Assist with planning and organizing the pre-con meeting for the NAB Show travel team.
  • Review requests for on-site ADA assistance and work with the Manager, Attendee Services to help coordinate appropriate accommodations.
  • Support additional pre-show projects designed to improve the attendee experience.

On-Site NAB Show Support

  • Assist attendees with questions, registration needs and event logistics.
  • Help address real-time customer service needs with professionalism, empathy and efficiency.
  • Support the Attendee Services team and on-site staff in delivering a welcoming and seamless experience.

Post-Show

  • Compile observations, feedback and recommendations to help improve attendee services and future events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High diploma required. Some college coursework or recent/upcoming graduates preferred.
  • Availability to work approximately 25–30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from February through April 2027.
  • 1–3 years of customer service, event support/planning or related experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers at all levels.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments.
  • Ability to remain professional, adaptable and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience with Zendesk or another customer service platform is preferred.
