About the Role


Position Summary 

The Accounting Intern supports a variety of functions within the department to gain hands-on experience and to cultivate the individual’s professional accounting skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Assists in reconciling statements and identifying discrepancies
  • Reconciles general ledger accounts to prepare for monthly financial reporting
  • Maintains print and electronic records for certificates of insurance documentation
  • Prepares, compiles, and sorts documents for data entry
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of the Company’s accounting and financial records
  • Completes assigned tasks or projects to gain insight into accounting and office operations 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in the use of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications 
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills 
  • Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records  

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Works in a temperature-controlled office environment, with low noise levels
  • Prolonged periods of sitting required
  • Rarely required to walk, stand, lift, climb, pull, or push objects weighing up to 10 pounds
