Data Scientist Intern

SAIC is currently seeking a Data Scientist Intern to support our MK48 Program in Middletown, RI.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with cross-functional teams with data at all stages of the analysis lifecycle to derive actionable insight.
• Translate mission needs into an end-to-end analytical approach to achieve results. 
• Perform the pre-analytics areas of data collection and understanding, data cleansing and integration, and data storage and retrieval.
• Familiarity with analytics, and visualization software and programming languages, including analytics methods for big data.
• Determine the appropriate analytics based on the data and the desired outcomes, using techniques including feature detection, statistics, data mining, predictive modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, and business intelligence. 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• General Education degree and enrolled in a 4 year higher education program.
• Must have the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
• Must be organized, motivated and able to work in a team environment.
• Must be familiar with data analytical and visualization tools
• Must be familiar with cleaning, transforming, and preparing complex datasets for analysis.
