The IPTS Cooling Purchasing Trainee will support the procurement and supplier management activities for vehicle cooling and thermal management components. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in automotive purchasing while contributing to the successful development and launch of current and future vehicle programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support sourcing and cost management activities for IPTS Cooling commodities to achieve program and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and suppliers to support product development, launch readiness, and issue resolution.
  • Analyze supplier quotations, cost breakdowns, and market intelligence to support sourcing recommendations and negotiations.
  • Lead and track action items with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of commitments, milestones, and launch requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with global teams and suppliers in English, preparing presentations, reports, and executive-ready summaries.

Qualifications

  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal) is required to effectively communicate with global teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Active student from any of the last 2 semesters of Supply Chain Management, Business, International Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and support business decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
