EMC Test Engineer Intern

A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:

DEKRA North America is offering a six-month internship for undergraduate and graduate students interested in gaining hands-on experience in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work alongside industry experts and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Interns will actively engage in projects that explore EMC testing and compliance, which are crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electronic devices in their electromagnetic environment. This internship not only enhances technical skills but also prepares students for careers in a rapidly evolving field of engineering and technology.

What You’ll Do:

• Learn EMC testing standards and requirements and testing methods. 
• Help prepare lab for upcoming audit and accreditation. 
• Learn quality system and associated software. 
• Assist in vetting equipment and performing inventories to include building a database

What You’ll Receive for the Value You Bring:

Compensation: 

The base pay for this position is $22 per hour to $28 per hour. Actual pay is based on several factors including market location and position-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

• Status: Intern (6-month project)
• FLSA Classification: Non-exempt, Regular
• Relocation Eligibility: This position is not eligible for relocation.

• Next role – Following your 6-month evaluation, the role could be extended based on the needs of the lab and the performance of the applicant.
