Associate Product Manager Intern - YMS

Role Overview

We are seeking a Product Manager Intern to join our Product Management team working on our Yard Management System. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in building enterprise software used by organizations across the global supply chain.

As a Product Manager Intern, you will work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, UX, QA, and other cross-functional teams to understand customer problems, analyze workflows, define product requirements, and support the delivery of new product capabilities.

The ideal candidate is curious about how software products are built, enjoys solving problems, has strong analytical and communication skills, and is interested in logistics, supply chain, and enterprise technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Product Managers to understand customer needs, business problems, and operational workflows.
• Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improving the Yard Management System.
• Help translate business and customer requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Engineering and QA teams during feature development, refinement, testing, and release activities.
• Participate in product discovery sessions, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Analyze product usage, operational data, customer feedback, and support issues to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Create product documentation, workflow diagrams, process flows, release notes, and other product artifacts.
• Support competitive research and industry analysis related to yard management, logistics, transportation, and supply chain technology.
• Assist Product Managers in defining product metrics and measuring the success of new features.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify gaps in existing workflows and recommend product improvements.
• Support customer demos, internal product reviews, and release readiness activities.
• Learn and apply product management practices in an enterprise software environment.

Qualifications

Required

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand complex workflows and break problems into clear, actionable requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn about enterprise software, logistics, and supply chain operations.
• Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum software development practices.

Preferred

• Pursuing or completed an MBA, preferably with a focus on Product Management, Operations, Technology, or Supply Chain.
• Previous internship, academic project, or experience related to product management, business analysis, software development, logistics, or operations.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, Power BI, or similar product/analytics tools.
• Basic understanding of APIs, software applications, databases, or system integrations.
• Interest in supply chain, logistics, transportation, warehouse, or yard operations.
• Experience creating process flows, wireframes, presentations, or product documentation.
