Program Overview

This is a 10-week in-person internship that will take place from June 7, 2027 – August 13, 2027. You will work with one of the teams outlined below for the duration of the internship and will attend a 2-day orientation that provides an overview of KKR and alternative investments. You will work on various projects, attend educational and network-building programming, and have the opportunity to showcase your work to technology leaders. While the internship will take place in New York, NY, full-time offers may be extended in alignment with exceptional performance and may be in New York, NY or Boston, MA depending on business headcount needs.

Teams You May Be Considered For

• Engineering
  • AI, Data, and Platform Technologies (ADAPT): ADAPT is the foundation of KKR Technology, bringing together its technology pillars – spanning AI and Applied AI, Data and Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, SRE, Technology Experience, and Program Management – to accelerate modernization, automation, and insight. It delivers secure, scalable, business-aligned platforms and experiences that enable KKR to scale
  • Investment Systems: The Investment Systems team engineers all aspects of the Investment Lifecycle across an array of asset classes – from deal sourcing and portfolio construction to risk management and monetization. They design platforms that connect data, people, and insights across Private Equity, Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Capital Markets, enabling investment teams to make faster, smarter decisions at scale. Their mandate is to transform how KKR invests by engineering shared, data-driven platforms that replace fragmented legacy tools with integrated solutions that drive efficiency, transparency, and alpha generation
  • Client Systems: The Client Systems team builds technology that powers how KKR connects with and grows its client relationships globally. Working at the intersections of engineering, data and AI, the team develops intelligent solutions that enable Sales and Marketing teams to identify opportunities, target the right prospects/clients, personalize engagement and drive fundraising and growth across KKR’s Institutional and Global Wealth businesses. From AI-powered insights and recommendations, intelligent workflows and next-generations digital experiences, Client Systems offers engineers the opportunity to apply emerging technologies to real-world problems and reimagine how KKR engages with its prospects and clients and delivers a differentiated client relationship experience at scale.
  • Business Operations Systems: The Business Operations Systems team is comprised of Operations Systems and Enterprise Systems. It consolidates capabilities across five core domains: Operating Platform Services, which supports the firm's core operating platforms and workflows; Client Operations, covering client onboarding, servicing, and lifecycle management across Asset Management and Insurance; Finance Technology, providing an integrated fund and corporate finance technology ecosystem; Human Capital & Employee Experience, driving HR platforms, workforce data, collaboration tools, and employee experiences; and Governance, Risk & Compliance Technology, supporting the Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Tax functions
• Product Management
  • The Product Management team works with stakeholders across the firm to understand business needs, translate them into clear requirements for engineering, and set the vision and roadmap for technology products and systems

Critical Competencies for Success:

• Currently attending a university in North America with an outstanding academic record
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related technical field with an anticipated graduation in December 2027 – June 2028
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and communicating ideas
• Proficiency with Java, Python, c/c++
• Curiosity about and openness to adopting emerging AI technologies in day-to-day workflows
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and relevance
• Familiarity with effective prompt design and generating reliable results using generative AI tools
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to act both strategically and tactically with exceptional attention to detail
• Outstanding time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
• Team-player who enjoys working in a collaborative and collegial environment and is willing to pitch-in when needed
• Intellectual curiosity and an interest in financial services and alternative investments
