Description
The Pulpo Group is looking for a creative, organized, and hands-on Marketing Intern to support our Marketing team across our collection of hospitality brands. This role is a mix of social media content creation and day-to-day marketing support - perfect for someone who loves food, hospitality, social media, and getting out from behind a desk to make things happen.
What You’ll Do
Social Media + Content | 10–15 hours/week
- Support our Social Media & Content Manager with content for Orijin Bakery and Sava’s
- Capture engaging, on-brand photo and video content primarily using an iPhone or similar (must provide your own)
- Assist with Reels, Stories, behind-the-scenes content, food + beverage features, and other social-first ideas
- Spend time on-site at our restaurants capturing the people, products, and moments that bring our brands to life
- Stay aware of social trends and bring fresh content ideas to the team
Marketing Support | 5 hours/week
- Assist the Marketing team with recurring projects, reporting, and administrative tasks
- Make basic edits and updates in Canva
- Assist with basic website updates, including menu edits, photos, and other content
- Complete regular menu and website audits
- Help maintain Google Business, Yelp, and Tripadvisor listings
- Assist with monthly reporting and review tracking
- Coordinate business card and collateral reorders
- Help with FedEx/print runs, marketing inventory, and other local errands (must be able to provide your own transportation)
- Jump into miscellaneous Marketing projects as needed
Requirements
Who We’re Looking For
- Current student or recent graduate studying Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Hospitality, or a related field
- Comfortable creating polished, engaging social content using an iPhone or similar
- Strong eye for photography, video, composition, and what makes compelling social content
- Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Canva, and current social trends
- Organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing recurring tasks
- Strong communicator who follows through and takes ownership of their work
- Comfortable working independently and spending time on-site across our Ann Arbor-area properties
- Interest in restaurants, food, hospitality, design, and local culture is a major plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move, position, or transport items weighing up to 15 pounds regularly.
- Ability to maintain a stationary position, move throughout the work environment, or position self (e.g., stoop, kneel, bend) to access equipment or materials as needed.
- Ability to operate computers, phones, and other digital interfaces for extended periods.

In lieu of a cover letter, applicants must submit a portfolio or examples of social media content they have personally created, with a strong preference for iPhone-shot photo and video content. Personal accounts, school projects, freelance work, Reels/TikToks, or other relevant examples are all welcome.
This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience across social media, content creation, digital marketing, brand management, and hospitality marketing while working directly alongside The Pulpo Group Marketing team.
