The Opportunity

We are looking for a Data Science Intern to join our IT and gain practical experience working on real-world business challenges. You will support data-driven projects, collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, and learn how data science solutions are developed from initial analysis through to evaluation and communication.

This role will report to Business Information Manager and be based in Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Translate business challenges into clear data questions and measurable objectives.
• Collect, clean, and prepare data from databases, CSV files, and APIs, agent to agent
• Support data analysis, feature engineering, and machine learning activities.
• Build,  model and evaluate basic predictive and analytical models.
• Create visualizations and communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders.
• Participate in agile meetings and present project progress.
• Explore modern tools such as cloud platforms, pretrained AI models, and basic MLOps solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Statistics.
• Core knowledge of Python, SQL, including pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
• Foundational Data Science Development Environments(Jupyter, VS Code), including versioning (GitHub, Azure)*
• Foundational Machine Learning tools(SciKit-Learn), AI & Gen AI (Hugging Face,OpenAI, Azure)*
• Experience data visualization tools(Python visualizations, PowerBi, Tableau) *
• Understanding of statistics and basic machine learning techniques, including regression, classification, clustering, and model evaluation.
• Familiarity with tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow,  MLflow, Weights & Biases, Docker, or cloud notebooks is an advantage.*
• Ability to work with large, unstructured, or incomplete datasets from different sources.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Must be based in UAE, with a valid residence visa.
