About the Role

 

The Day to Day:

In the Human Resources Intern role, you will support the Human Resources team with production recruiting, employee relations, annual HR programs, and special projects while gaining broad exposure to HR operations in a manufacturing environment. This internship will help a busy HR team support approximately 650 employees and manage more than 40 direct-hire openings.

• Assist with full-cycle recruiting for hourly production positions, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and hiring follow-up.

• Communicate with candidates and internal stakeholders to support an organized and positive hiring experience.

• Support onboarding and other activities that help new employees transition successfully into the organization.

• Assist the HR Business Partner with employee-relations activities, documentation, and follow-up under appropriate guidance.

• Support annual HR processes, including open enrollment and performance management.

• Help coordinate employee events, training sessions, schedules, materials, and communications.

• Maintain accurate HR records, reports, and recruiting trackers while handling sensitive information with discretion.

• Contribute to HR process improvements and complete other projects and duties based on business needs.

• Managing competing priorities in a fast-paced organization

 

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or a related field.

• Interest in human resources, recruiting, employee relations, and manufacturing operations.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and time-management skills.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills with a professional, service-oriented approach.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality, use sound judgment, and work both independently and collaboratively.

• Availability to work 20–40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday.
