[Bosch R&D – Internship] Testing & Validation Intern

Bosch first started in Vietnam with a representative office in 1994. Bosch has its main office in Ho Chi Minh City, with branch offices in Hanoi and Da Nang, and a Powertrain Solutions plant in the Dong Nai province to manufacture pushbelt for continuously variable transmissions (CVT) in automobiles. In addition, Bosch operates a software and engineering R&D center (Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Vietnam Co., Ltd).

In July 2014, Bosch set up a new Automotive R&D Center, located in Ho Chi Minh City. The continuous growth of this Centre is in line with Bosch’s strategy in Vietnam, which aims at becoming a manufacturing and R&D hub in the Southeast Asian region. Currently four products are available: connectors, pushbelt, fuel supply, and diagnosis module (tank leakage).

Testing & Validation Activities

• Support Testing Engineers in the preparation and execution of validation activities for automotive components and materials.
• Prepare test samples, specimens, test setups, and measurement equipment before testing.
• Perform different validation tests under the supervision of Testing Engineers, such as:
  • Samples preparation , wires harness preparation
  • Mechanical force and strength testing
  • Electrical testing and measurement
  • Sealing and leakage testing
  • Environmental and component-level validation testing
• Monitor test execution, identify abnormalities, and communicate issues to the responsible engineer.
• Record, organize, and analyze test data according to defined test procedures.
• Assist Senior Testing Engineers in component development and validation project.

Laboratory Equipment & Technical Support

• Learn to understand and operate various laboratory and analytical equipment.
• Support equipment setup, basic maintenance, laboratory organization, 5S, Inventory management.
• Design or support the development of test jigs, fixtures, adapters, and simple mechanical setups for different validation activities.

• Undergraduate students majoring in technical field (e.g., mechanical, mechatronic or any relevant fields). International experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings.
• Interest or experience in designing and building simple fixtures or mechanical test setups.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory, workshop, or fabrication tools is an advantage.
• Hands-on and practical approach to engineering and problem-solving.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive, open-minded, and willing to take responsibility.
• Quality-oriented with a strong willingness to learn.
• Good command of English in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
