We are looking for a UX Design Intern who is excited to dive into real-world product design, craft scalable design systems, and shape the user experience of our digital platform, Alvie.

This role is designed for bachelor's or master's degree students who have a 3-month internship period included in their study program. Your main focus will be to learn modern product design workflows, ship live UI features, and bring system-level clarity to our Figma design foundations. Guided by dedicated 1-on-1 mentorship, you will gain hands-on experience bridging the gap between user experience, atomic design systems, and code.

While our primary focus is finding a full-time intern who has a 3-month internship period included in their study program, we are also open to a part-time paid Student Worker.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING 💼

• Shadow live workflows and tackle pre-scoped design tickets, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI solutions for real feature updates on the Alvie platform.

• Participate in auditing core design system components against accessibility standards and industry best practices in Figma.

• Assist in writing clear, context-rich usage guidelines and variable rules for audited components, helping build the context layer required to align code with design specs.

• Work alongside product managers and developers to translate user feedback and technical requirements into cohesive, user-centered flows.

• Participate in regular design reviews, learn structured design system management, and experience the full lifecycle of shipping designs to production.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ✔️

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g at VIA or Business Academy Aarhus) with a required internship module.

• Basic understanding of UX principles and practical experience using Figma for UI work.

• Familiarity with component-based design systems (such as Atomic Design) and curiosity about how design scales.

• Strong attention to visual detail, consistency, and alignment with accessibility standards.

• Excellent communication skills in English, a proactive attitude, and an eagerness to learn in a fast-paced product environment.

• Curiosity about modern design workflows, AI-assisted tools, or complex data platforms.
