PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER ONLY

The Staff Administrative Assistant will support teachers, the Principal, CEO, and other school staff with various administrative and educational tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers and school leadership with administrative tasks and daily needs.
- Prepare, copy, and organize classroom and instructional materials.
- Assist teachers with English and reading lesson preparation.
- Organize literacy materials, books, worksheets, and learning activities.
- Provide basic reading and English support to students under staff supervision.
- Assist with organizing files, supplies, and other school materials.
- Assist with other school-related projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- Must be comfortable working with children
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have own transportation

This off-campus Federal Work-Study position allows college students to gain hands-on educational experience at Gordon Parks Elementary. Students support classrooms, mentor children, and assist with school activities while developing valuable communication, leadership, and professional skills. The partnership connects students with the local community while meeting Federal Work-Study community service and literary tutor requirements.


1-2 days a week, flexible on what days.
