About the Role

Job Description

KPMG's Forensic practice consists of experienced professionals with a wealth of experience in investigations, AML/CTF, data analytics, FATCA/CRS, forensic technology and disputes. We have helped some of the world's biggest companies on some of the most important matters of public interest in Singapore.

 

We help clients deal with:

  • Fraud, misconduct and corruption investigations
  • Assess and improve client’s AML controls and financial crime compliance
  • Commercial disputes
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Managing risk on buying or selling a business, intellectual property and contract governance
  • Preventing and detecting fraud and financial crime

 

We also deploy technology tools to help clients deal effectively with large amounts of data and documentation, to manage and disclose important material or highlight fraud, weaknesses and business opportunities from within corporate data.

 

As an Intern in the Forensic Technology service line, your scope of work will include:

  • Assist in the collection, preservation, and analysis of digital evidence from laptops, servers, mobile device and cloud platforms
  • Help process and review large volumes of electronically stored information (ESI) using industry-leading eDiscovery tools
  • Support investigations by identifying suspicious activities, deleted files and digital footprints
  • Get hands-on experience with tools like EnCase, Nuix, Relativity and more
  • Contribute to documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with our team of experienced forensic technology professionals and learn from each other in a fast-paced environment
  • Conduct research on forensic techniques to support ongoing investigations and improve team knowledge

 

The ideal candidate should be:

  • Having a curious mind with strong interest in technology and digital investigations
  • Pursuing degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related fields
  • Having basic knowledge of file systems, operating systems
  • A team player who thrives in collaborative environments
  • Bonus points if you have experimented with Python, PowerShell, or have a knack for Googling like a pro.
