As a an Engineering Intern, you’re not just helping maintain the hotel’s physical safety and functionality – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Responsibilities

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

  • Support hotel facility maintenance Assist in maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the property, including guest rooms, public spaces, and heart-of-house areas: Support hotel facility maintenance Assist in maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the property, including guest rooms, public spaces, and heart-of-house areas
  • Respond to service requests: Quickly handle guest calls and team member work orders
  • Support a variety of maintenance tasks: Conduct repairs and maintenance across various areas, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and masonry
  • Assist with preventive maintenance inspections: Inspect facilities and equipment to identify and address preventive maintenance needs
  • Document maintenance activities: Record completed inspections and repairs and flag any issues requiring further attention
  • Accompany our technicians during repairs and emergency maintenance work in guest rooms, including plumbing, painting, heating, electrical systems, ventilation, and other technical tasks.

  • Discover and understand the daily operations of the Engineering Department with the support of the Administrative Technician, including order tracking, supplier contract follow-up, and team scheduling.

  • Follow all applicable health and safety procedures and regulations relevant to the engineering profession and hotel environment.

  • Assist technicians with carrying out mandatory daily and weekly inspections and testing procedures.

  • Contribute to keeping the workshop, tools, equipment, and spare parts storage area clean, organized, and fully operational.

  • Support colleagues across different technical trades according to the operational needs of the hotel and demonstrate professional versatility and adaptability.

  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is an advantage.
