About the Role

Internship - Joint Engineering - Operations (JENG OPS)

Schedule: Full-time

Stipend: € 1477.30 (2026 rate) per month (taxable)

 

Description:

As an intern in Joint Engineering – Operations Branch at HQ JFC Brunssum, you will contribute to detailed research on JENG related elements using data capture from multiple source locations to support the establishment of a JENG Synch process in order to provide relevant updates and expand the wider understanding of JENG related data across the JOA-C.

 

About the internship:

During this 6-month programme starting 30 August 2027 until 25 February 2028, you will join the JENG-Ops Branch where you will be carrying out relevant information gathering as well as bring together information from sources across the HQ whilst the generation of the Recognized MILENG Picture progresses, by conducting liaison and engagement with external agencies so that relevant collaboration can assist the HQ in its tasks.

 

The ideal candidate must:

1)     Hold a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Media/Journalism, Information Technology, Web/Graphic Design, Engineering or similar;

2)     For the whole period of the internship be enrolled in a Master’s study in the field of Media/Journalism, Information Technology,          Web/Graphic Design, Engineering or similar;

3)     Understanding of databases, online applications, social media as well as Web/AI or Graphic Design;

4)     Possess knowledge of international organizations including the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

5)     Be able to effectively plan and organize the working time;

6)     Have the ability to work under pressure.

In addition, we are looking for candidates ideally having the following desirable skills:

1)     Strong computer skills (e.g. ECDL) including use of Microsoft Office package;

2)     A good understanding of European current affairs and politics along with analytical and research skills;

3)     Be dynamic, self-motivated and personable with an ability to work in a team environment with people from diverse backgrounds.

Stipend:

            1)   You will be compensated at a fixed taxable rate of € 1477.30 (2026 rates), per month based on 37.5 hours internship work hours per week.

            2)   We will also compensate you for travel costs to/from your university to HQ JFC Brunssum (within set cap rates).

            3)   Interns will be entitled to 2 days of leave for each full month (of 37.5 hours a week) of internship.
