About the Role

Internship – Task Force Maven (TF MAVEN)

Schedule: Full-time

Stipend: € 1477.30 (2026 rate) per month (taxable)

 

Description:

As an intern in the Task Force MAVEN Office (TF MAVEN) at HQ JFC Brunssum, you will be required to translate operational needs into  prioritised, evidence-based use-cases for the Palantir Maven Smart System (MSS) development in HQ JFCBS.

About the internship:  

During this 6-month programme starting 30 August 2027 until 25 February 2028, you will join TF MAVEN. The TF MAVEN Office is looking for an intern to contribute to the translation of operational needs for the MSS by designing, validating demonstrators that shows how MSS can improve specific workflows, decisions or coordination across the HQ by the provision of role-based training, guidance and knowledge materials, thereby improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the HQ.

The ideal candidate must:

1)     Be enrolled for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the field of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, Business Informatics, Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, Industrial/Systems Engineering or similar;

2)   Good knowledge of the following: ideation/use case development; requirements analysis and process mapping; data literacy and information management; Project Management fundamentals; Stakeholder engagement and communication;

3)     Possess knowledge of international organisations including the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation;

4)     Be able to effectively plan and organize the working time; 

5)     Have the ability to work under pressure.

In addition, we are looking for candidates having the following desirable skills:

1)     Strong computer skills (e.g. ECDL) including use of Microsoft Office package;

2)     Understanding of Process optimisation and continuous improvement; programming  and data analysis (e.g. Python, SLL and Typescript); machine-learning/AI knowledge; data integration and API concepts; ontology and information modelling basics; change management frameworks;

3)     Evidence of a research field or previous experience related to the areas mentioned above;

4)     Be dynamic, self-motivated and personable with an ability to work in a team environment with people from diverse backgrounds.

 

Stipend:

        1)   You will be compensated at a fixed taxable rate of € 1477.30 (2026 rates), per month based on 37.5 hours internship work hours per               week.

        2)   We will also compensate you for travel costs to/from university to HQ JFC Brunssum (within set cap rates).

        3)   Interns will be entitled to 2 days of leave for each full month (of 37.5 hrs a week) of internship.
