About the Role

Description

The Athletic Department at Elizabethtown College is currently seeking a Volunteer Strength and Conditioning Intern.


  

The Volunteer Strength and Conditioning Intern will assist with the development and delivery of training programs for NCAA Division III student-athletes.  This educational opportunity provides hands-on experience in collegiate strength and conditioning, athlete monitoring, and performance testing under the supervision of the strength and conditioning staff.


The individual will mentor, motivate, and develop student athletes in a Division III educational environment, and assist the Head S&C Coach to ensure the S&C program is conducted in accordance with the NCAA and conference rules and regulations.



Requirements:


  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in exercise science, kinesiology, strength and conditioning, or a related field.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in strength and conditioning or sports performance.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work collaboratively.
  • Availability for an agreed-upon schedule, which may include early mornings or afternoons.
  • Previous experience in a weight-room or athletic setting is preferred.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Interest in pursuing the NSCA-CSCS or CSCCa-SCCC certification is preferred.
