Overview

Sun Chemical Corporation, headquartered in Parsippany, NJ, is a leading global producer of printing inks, coatings, pigments, and advanced materials. Our Global Treasury Operations (GTO) team, based in Cincinnati, OH, offers two undergraduate internship opportunities designed to provide hands-on experience in corporate treasury within a global organization.

This internship includes a full-time summer program and a part-time fall and spring semester program. Candidates should be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the academic year. The position follows a hybrid work model, combining in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility.

This is an excellent opportunity for students seeking exposure to treasury operations, global banking, financial reporting, and SAP systems in a multinational business environment.

 

What You'll Do

As a Treasury Intern, you will support the daily operations of the Global Treasury Operations team, including:

  • Assisting with the processing and posting of bank statement transactions
  • Supporting payment execution activities and treasury operations
  • Working with global banking platforms and online banking systems
  • Assisting with cash reporting and treasury-related deliverables
  • Supporting treasury projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and global business partners
  • Performing ad hoc analyses and administrative tasks as needed

 

About the Team

The Global Treasury Operations team serves as a centralized shared-service function supporting Sun Chemical's global operations across:

  • North America
  • Latin America
  • Europe
  • Asia

 

The team is responsible for managing cash and debt reporting, processing incoming and outgoing bank transactions, executing payments, maintaining relationships with banking partners, and supporting treasury-related activities worldwide.

 

What We're Looking For..

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or International Business
  • Undergraduate students in their freshman or sophomore year preferred
  • Minimum availability of 20 hours per week during academic semesters
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in Corporate Treasury, Banking, or Financial Operations
  • Basic understanding of financial statements
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Interest in learning SAP and enterprise financial systems
