WHO YOU ARE  

  • You are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at an accredited college or university, with a major in fields such as Business Administration, Management, Change Management, Risk Management, Operations Management & Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, Psychology, Public Policy, or other related disciplines, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
  • You have a minimum GPA of 3.0. 
  • You are curious about financial markets and interested in learning more about the financial services industry 
  • You have proven analytical, data interpretation, problem-solving, critical and strategic thinking skills through coursework and/or previous internship experience
  • You have demonstrated leadership and teamwork through projects and/or extracurricular involvement  

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO  


As an intern at Northern Trust, you will have the opportunity to build relevant skills, work on meaningful projects, and participate in a collaborative program designed to support your early career development. You will work directly with your team on day-to-day tasks while joining internship program events to develop new skills, network with senior leaders, and connect with fellow interns in the program. Through hands-on experience, meaningful project work, and exposure to a dynamic global business, you will begin to see how your interests can grow into a long-term career at Northern Trust. A recruiter will work with you to determine the best team placement given your interests, skill set, and relevant experience.

WHAT YOU’LL GAIN:

  • Work with product designers and UX researchers to improve user experiences across digital platforms.
  • Support product management, agile delivery, and marketplace development for enterprise data products.
  • Assist in policy development, metadata management, and data quality initiatives.
  • Contribute to model development, data science projects, and business insights.
  • Help manage change initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and program delivery.
  • Participate in organizational design, capability modeling, and operating model transformation.

Data & Analytics Office Analyst, Business Architecture Analyst, Project Coordinator, Data Analyst, Risk & Compliance Analyst, Associate Product Manager, Digital Experience Analyst, and more as part of our Analyst Development Program (ADP).

Salary Range:

Salary is $35.00 USD per hour.

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
