About the Role


This role supports focuses on AI adoption within Policy Owner Service. The candidate will work with members of the HK POS & Cashier Team to identify suitable operational processes, develop practical lightweight AI and automation solutions, and strengthen internal AI capability to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.

This role contributes to the delivery of customer outcomes that are reliable, thoughtful, and create meaningful impact for customers and society. The role holder is expected to embed a customer first mindset in all decisions and actions by developing a clear understanding of customer needs, taking end to end ownership to resolve issues, and working collaboratively across teams to continuously enhance the customer journey—both directly and indirectly.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside different HK POS & Cashier Team members to understand current workflows, operational challenges, data inputs, and intended outcomes.
  • Identify and prioritise POS processes that are suitable for AI adoption or lightweight automation.
  • Explore and develop practical solutions using AI tools, Excel automation, and scripting to reduce manual data extraction, preparation, and reformatting.
  • Structure unstructured information into consistent formats that support policy-system checks and downstream bulk searching.
  • Test solution outputs for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and usability, and refine the approach based on results and user feedback.
  • Prepare clear documentation covering solution logic, assumptions, test results, limitations, and user guidance.
  • Collaborate with POS team members to demonstrate solutions, share knowledge, and encourage appropriate adoption of AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Support the evaluation of pilot outcomes and capture lessons that may inform future application across other Operations business units.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Accounting, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Practical knowledge of AI adoption or automation in a finance, insurance, or operational environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, Excel automation, VBA, or other scripting approaches is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and documentation skills, with the ability to translate operational requirements into practical solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a structured, responsible, and quality-focused working approach. Able to work independently and collaboratively with different team members.
  • Good command of written and spoken English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Analytical problem-solving and structured thinking.
  • Attention to detail and a strong focus on data quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  • Collaboration and stakeholder engagement across different team members.
  • Initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to experiment and learn.
