About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Process & Performance Engineer, the role will support the development and implementation of digital solutions that improve operational efficiency, automate administrative processes, and enhance decision-making across the business.

The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance teams, garage personnel, and business stakeholders to develop practical solutions that deliver measurable value. This is an excellent opportunity for a student who enjoys solving real-world problems, learning new technologies, and working directly with users to develop innovative tools and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, implementation of automation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build and enhance solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and SharePoint
  • Assist with the development, testing, and deployment of AI-enabled workflows, copilots, and agent-based solutions
  • Apply prompt engineering and retrieval-grounded knowledge techniques to improve AI solution effectiveness
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities to reduce non-value-added administrative work
  • Collaborate with garage personnel and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions
  • Create documentation, user guides, and training materials to support solution adoption
  • Monitor solution performance and recommend enhancements to improve usability, governance, and scalability
  • Support digital transformation and continuous improvement projects across the department
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Technology, or a related field
  • Experience with, or demonstrated interest in, the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and SharePoint)
  • Experience with, or strong interest in, applied AI technologies such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar platforms
  • Understanding of AI concepts including agent design, prompt engineering, and retrieval-grounded knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Comfortable working in an evolving environment and engaging directly with operational users
  • Must be a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license required and willing to travel periodically to garage locations
