About the Role

The Day to Day:

In the Sales Analyst Intern role, you will support Sales Administration with reporting, inventory analysis, compliance tracking, and process improvement while gaining exposure to both the MGX and Manitowoc businesses. You will primarily support one business while collaborating across both organizations to identify trends, remove barriers to sales execution, and improve sales effectiveness.

 

• Prepare and enhance recurring sales, backlog, pipeline, and inventory reports.

• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and sales execution issues.

• Evaluate inventory availability and summarize actionable recommendations for stakeholders.

• Support Grove/MGX Defense compliance tracking, documentation, and follow-up activities.

• Learn the Sales Administration processes, systems, data, and operating models used by MGX and Manitowoc.

• Collaborate with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders to support reporting, analysis, and business priorities.

• Document key Sales Administration workflows and create or update standard work instructions.

• Complete a defined improvement project for the assigned business, including a baseline, analysis, recommendation, and measurable outcome.

• Deliver a midpoint update and final presentation summarizing completed work, key insights, and recommended next steps.

• Contribute to additional analytical projects and duties based on business needs.

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field.

• Interest in sales operations, business analytics, inventory analysis, or process improvement.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify meaningful trends.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and time-management skills.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize findings and present recommendations.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities.

• Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and business requirements.

• Availability to work 40 hours per week, generally from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
